Wendy is a family medicine physician, community activist and writer, currently serving as Medical Director of a community clinic in New Mexico. She is working on her first book, The Ecology Cure: A Road Map to Wellness for Humans and the Earth, to raise consciousness about the deep connection between our personal wellness, our connections with each other, and the health of our natural world. She has been published in McSweeney’s, The Chautauqua Institute Journal and The Nation. Her recent article in The Boston Review describes what medicine could be if it were freed from the constraints of our for-profit health care system. Wendy lives on the outskirts of Santa Fe, where she is rewilding her patch of earth and her psyche.
