Rob Chaney

Rob is managing editor of the Missoulian newspaper in Montana. His book, The Grizzly in the Driveway (2021),  won honors from the Society of Environmental Journalists, NPR’s Best Books of the Year and the High Plains Book Awards. Rob was a fellow at the Harvard University Nieman Foundation for Journalism in 2020, and led statewide reporting projects with Solutions Journalism Network, Stanford University Big Local News and MIT Tech Review. While at Mesa Refuge, he worked on his manuscript, Playing God in Glacier Park, exploring our relationship with nature through the actions and choices people make in one of the world’s most beloved landscapes.
