Amy Wheeler (she/they) is an Organizational Consultant at Mesa Refuge, partnering with the board and staff in an exciting phase of growth and evolution. Her passion is to encourage curiosity and empathy, facilitating conversations that sustain the organization, inspire the people it serves, and support those who serve it. Amy serves on the national board of the Artist Communities Alliance. She was Hedgebrook’s Executive Director for 13 years, evolving it into a global community of influential, female-identified writers authoring change in the arts, culture, politics and social justice. While at Mesa Refuge, Amy worked on her musical play inspired by Holly Morris’ documentary, The Babushkas of Chernobyl.
