Josephine Ensign

Josephine is a professor at the University of Washington in Seattle, where she teaches public health and health policy. Josephine has an undergraduate degree in Biology and Religion from Oberlin College and holds a doctorate in Global Health from Johns Hopkins University. A nurse for forty years, her work is informed by her lived experience of homelessness. While at Mesa Refuge, Josephine did some final writing and editing of her narrative nonfiction book on the contemporary landscape of homelessness in Seattle and King County.
