Sara Campos

Sara Campos is a writer, consultant, and lawyer. After two decades of advocacy on behalf of immigrants and refugees, she obtained an MFA in creative writing from Mills College. Sara’s work has been published in Colorlines, AlterNet Media, the San Francisco Chronicle, and KQED-Perspectives. She has held fellowships with VONA, Macondo, Letras Latinas, and the Community of Writers at Squaw Valley. Her recent work has appeared in two anthologies: Basta – an Anthology of Latinas and Gender Violence and The Wandering Song: Central American Writing in the U.S. While at the Mesa Refuge, Sara worked on her novel, The Revolutions of Matilde, a love story set in a pivotal time of Guatemalan history.
