Navina is a co-founder and Executive Director of the HEAL Food Alliance (Health, Environment, Agriculture, and Labor), a multi-racial alliance of organizations who represent over 2 million rural and urban farmers, farm and food chain workers, community organizers, and activists building collective power for transformed food systems. Navina believes that healing our relationships with each other and life on earth, depends on healing the ways we grow, prepare, and share food. For over 20 years she has worked toward social and ecological justice through food and farming systems as an educator, community organizer, and policy advocate. Her worldview is shaped by migration and grounded in movement.
