Marlene McCurtis is a writer, filmmaker and teaching artist. She works for TheatreWorkers Project teaching creative writing to formerly incarcerated men and women. At the Mesa, she worked on a nonfiction memoir about the intersection of media, race, gender, class, incarceration and motherhood.
