Lisa Hamilton has written about agriculture and rural communities for more than twenty years. She is the author of Deeply Rooted: Unconventional Farmers in the Age of Agribusiness, and has written for Harper’s, McSweeney’s, and The Atlantic. Lisa is working on a nonfiction book on the world’s most important food: rice. The story raises questions about identity, migration, and adaptation.
