Kathy Ko Chin

Kathy served as President and CEO of Asian and Pacific Islander American Health Forum for over a decade. From 2014 to 2017, she served on President Obama’s Advisory Commission for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. In 2020, she was honored by the American Public Health Association for her work in health equity and social justice. Kathy is currently a trustee of The Kresge Foundation, and a former board member of the Angel Island Immigration Station Foundation, Asian Women’s Shelter, Public Health Institute and California Pan-Ethnic Health Network. At the Mesa Refuge, she reflected on her decades of service in healthcare, examining issues of federal health policy, privilege/inequality, and immigration.
