Aimee is the founder of She the People, and president of Democracy in Color. She is one of the primary architects for the electoral successes in 2018 that made it the “year of women of color in politics.” A democratic innovator and visionary, Aimee has led forums on race and gender at the Democratic National Convention and Politicon. She is a frequent speaker and writer, and is the author of Army of None. Aimee has written for the New York Times and ESSENCE magazine, and hosts a monthly podcast, “Democracy in Color.” She holds a B.A. in history and M.A. in education from Stanford University.
