Alice Dorrance Spiritual Writing Fellowship

Alice Dorrance has a deep love of the spiritual world and a commitment to making it accessible through exploration and writing. Alice’s concept of spirituality extends far beyond the traditions of religion to embrace a love of the natural world and her respect for the wisdom of indigenous peoples.

Alice lives in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where her life is filled with commitment to her extended family, community and many organizations that ensure that all people are treated well in the world.  She has visited West Marin many times and fell in love with the Mesa Refuge. Her fellowship was one of the first created to help sustain the Mesa Refuge and to support the work of writers exploring a wide range of topics relating to spirituality.

The Alice Dorrance Spiritual Writing Fellowship supports the interpretation of connections between our inner and outer worlds in all genres.
