Zoe FitzGerald Carter is a Berkeley-based journalist and author who has written for publications including New York Times, Salon, Vogue and San Francisco Chronicle. Her memoir, Imperfect Endings, about her mother’s decision to end her life, came out from Simon & Schuster in 2010. She is currently working on a book about race, Facebook and “elected kinship.” She also writes music and performs with her band, Do Wrong Right.
