Reniqua Allen is a freelance journalist who writes and produces on issues of race, class, social mobility, and popular culture. She has worked for media outlets including WNYC, MSNBC, PBS, and Fox News, and been published in New York Times, Washington Post, The Guardian, Al-Jazeera, and Quartz. She is currently producing a documentary about ex-offenders in New Orleans. While at the Mesa Refuge, she will be working on a nonfiction manuscript, It Was All A Dream: How Black Millennials Are Navigating the Broken Promise of America.
