Peter Gleick is one of the world’s foremost experts on freshwater issues. He is co-founder and President-Emeritus of the Pacific Institute (the world’s leading independent think tank on water), a MacArthur Fellow, and member of the US National Academy of Sciences. In 2018 he was awarded the Carl Sagan Prize for Science Popularization. Peter has written several books on water and climate issues including Bottled and Sold: The Story Behind our Obsession with Bottled Water and the World’s Water series. At Mesa Refuge, Peter worked on The Three Ages of Water, a 12,000 year history of freshwater including a vision of a sustainable future for water that addresses our long-standing severe water-related crises.
