Marissa Ortega-Welch is the creator/host of How Wild, a KALW/NPR podcast about wilderness and humans. She is an award-winning radio and print journalist, and editor whose work has been featured in Science Friday, Latino USA, and High Country News. A former field biologist and environmental educator, Marissa brings a human-centered approach to stories of the natural world—highlighting voices from the frontlines of conservation.
