Jenny Odell is an artist, writer, and educator based in Oakland, CA. She is the author of the New York Times bestsellers How to Do Nothing: Resisting the Attention Economy and Saving Time: Discovering a Life Beyond the Clock. Jenny has been a resident at the Internet Archive, the San Francisco Planning Department, Recology SF, and the New York Public Library. For eight years, she taught digital art at Stanford University. At Mesa, she worked on On Repair, which explores the ethical implications of close attention, methods for addressing social and ecological harms, and maintenance and care as undervalued forms of work.
