Francisco Rodriguez

Gardener

Francisco Rodriguez has been on staff at the Mesa Refuge since 2016, tending to the grounds and gardens. He is committed to the long-term health of the property, meeting the constant challenges of drought, deer, and climate change with creativity and good humor. His love of nature is not limited to plants, however. In his spare time, Francisco is a painter, focusing on animals and fish in particular. He has three adult sons and lives with his family in Penngrove, a town he has called home for 25 years.
