Carl Anthony, an advocate for social and environmental justice, is the founder and former executive director of Urban Habitat in Oakland, California. The organization acts as a bridge among communities, environmental activists and government agencies to foster social and environmental justice. Anthony is also a co-founder of Race, Poverty and the Environment, one of the country’s few environmental-justice periodicals.
