Blaire Briody is an independent journalist and editor-at-large for The Fiscal Times. Her work has appeared in New York Times, Popular Science, Popular Mechanics, UTNE Reader, BUST and Cosmopolitan, among others. At Mesa Refuge she worked on her first book, a narrative nonfiction account of North Dakota’s oil boom, to be published by St. Martin’s Press. She graduated from the University of California, Davis with a degree in international relations and resides in Sonoma County, California.
