Abraham (Abe) Ignacio is librarian emeritus for the Filipino American Center at the Main Library of the San Francisco Public Library. He is a member of the Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS). Abe co-authored, along with Enrique de la Cruz, Jorge Emmanuel, and Helen Toribio, The Forbidden Book: The Philippine-American War in Political Cartoons. He is an avid collector of Filipiniana and Filipino diaspora books and ephemera. At Mesa, Abe worked on a research paper on the noted Filipino author, Carlos Bulosan. The paper’s working title is “Carlos Bulosan and the Mystery of the Two Juvenile Books."
