2021 Register Fellow for Restorative Justice

Veronique is an interdisciplinary artist invested in collaborative practice, radical pedagogy and community organizing. Her art explores healing experiences of trauma and mental illness. In 2016, she co-founded the Liberated Arts Collective with formerly-incarcerated artists.  Her work has been supported by the Joan Mitchell Foundation, The Ford Foundation, California Arts Council, and Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs. At the Mesa Refuge, she worked on An Index of Fire, a multidisciplinary project examining California’s entangled relationship between wildfires, state recreation sites, and prisoner labor.
