Steve Cosson

Steve Cosson is a director, writer and the founding artistic director of The Civilians, an investigative theater company in New York, which was the first theater company in residence at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Steve has been a Fulbright Scholar, A MacDowell Fellow and twice participated in the Sundance Theatre Lab. He received an MFA from UC San Diego and BA from Dartmouth. While at the Mesa Refuge, he worked on a play inspired by the Gulf region’s activists and residents who are seeking environmental and social justice in the aftermath of the BP oil spill.
