Samer Araabi

Samer Araabi is a member of the Arab Resource and Organizing Center (AROC), and the Research Director for Accountability Counsel, a human and environmental rights organization. He has worked as Government Relations Manager for the Arab American Institute in Washington, D.C. and as a Project Manager for the Syrian Assistance Coordination Unit and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he coordinated $10M assistance to the Syrian people. He has also worked as an independent researcher, producing reports on local governance in conflict zones and the political economy of ceasefires, and briefed government ministries, international agencies, and UN Security Council members on his findings. At Mesa, he worked on a strategy document that outlines the main priorities for the Palestine movement at this moment (ceasefire, arms embargo, and protection of anti-war protestors) with a clear set of tactics and engagements to be utilized by a wide variety of organizers.
