Robeson Taj Frazier

Taj is a writer and associate professor in the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at USC and director of the Institute for Diversity and Empowerment at Annenberg. He is the author of KAOS Theory: The Afrokosmic Ark of Ben Caldwell and The East is Black: Cold War China in the Black Radical Imagination, producer of the documentary film, It’s Yours: A Story About Hip Hop and the Internet, and host of the PBS Digital Studios production, Hip Hop and the Metaverse. While at Mesa, Taj worked on a cultural history and critical unpacking of Hip Hop and Black popular cultures at the turn of the 21st century and how such cultures have been taken up in more recent global creative economies and representations.
