Raised in North Dakota and currently a woman on the edge, Katie Kane is a writer, activist and professor of Cultural Studies, Literature and Colonial Studies at the University of Montana. She has published critical work or fiction in journals such as Cultural Studies, Critical Inquiry, The Black Warrior Review and Salvage: A Journal of Revolutionary Arts and Letters.
