Nina is a Harvard-trained sociologist and plant-based chef. She is a Postdoctoral Scholar at UC Berkeley Haas’ Sustainable Food Initiative where she is co-founder of the Plant Futures Symposium and Challenge Lab. Her work has been published in academic journals as well as media outlets including Refinery29 and The Telegraph. Nina’s true passion is sharing food that is just, nourishing, and grounded in the land. At Mesa Refuge, she worked on a narrative book about the cultural evolution of veganism from a niche subculture into a mainstream movement challenging the food system.
