Lisa is a Seattle-based Taiwanese American writer who works in equitable grantmaking and writes on themes of generational grief, inherited loneliness, and food as living memories. She is a former labor organizer, food justice leader, and immigrant rights advocate. Lisa has received residencies from Anaphora Arts, and her work can be found in Moss Lit and The Seventh Wave. At Mesa Refuge, she worked on a memoir that chronicles her family’s history of loneliness through the lens of immigration, illness, and the colonization of Taiwan. In it she examines the cost of the American Dream and the cost of the American Nightmare of being sick. Lisa is the Jacob and Valeria Langeloth Foundation Health Writing Fellow.
