Leah Zani

Leah Zani, PhD, is the author of the forthcoming book Bomb Children: Life in the Former Battlefields of Laos (Duke University Press, 2019). Her articles, short stories, and poems have appeared or will soon appear in American Anthropologist, Cultural Anthropology online, Environmental Humanities, Anthropology & Humanism, Somatosphere, Platypus, The Los Angeles Review of Books and Tikkun Magazine. She is a recipient of several fellowships, including the Human Rights Center Research Fellowship and the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. She has won two Ethnographic Poetry Prizes from the Society for Humanistic Anthropology for her poems on explosives clearance in Laos. She is currently developing her second book, an ethnographic novel entitled Strike Patterns.
