Lane Barden

Alum 2006

Lane Barden is an award winning Los Angeles based photographer and artist. His work is in the permanent collections of the Getty Research Institute at the Getty Center, the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Houston Museum of Fine Arts. He holds a B.A. in Sociology from Appalachian State University, and an M.A. and M.F.A. in photography from the University of New Mexico.

He has been a guest speaker at the Annenberg Space for Photography in Los Angeles, the Cal Poly Pomona School of Design, and the Harvard Graduate School of Design. He has taught extensively at Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc), the Art Center College of Design and the Photo Arts Conservatory at the New York Film Academy.

With over twenty years experience in professional, fine arts, and academic practice, his clients include A.C. Martin, HMC Architects, Harley Ellis Devereaux, Nadel Architects, Armet Davis Newlove, DAR al Handassah, Audi Bank, Solidere sal, Atelier Jean Nouvel, Wolcott Architecture Interiors, Populous, and ROTO Architects. His work has been published nationally and internationally (see Press).
