Kenny is a writer who looks at how physical disability provides an understanding of the interconnectedness between individuals and between cultures. Twice a Fullbright Scholar (Japan & Germany), he is a Disability Futures Fellow of the Ford Foundation/Mellon Foundation/USA Artists. Kenny’s work has appeared in The New York Times, Washington Post and Granta, among others. He is the author of several books, and at Mesa, he worked on Stumbling over History: Disability and the Holocaust, a nonfiction book that follows his journey of discovery about Aktion T4, the Nazi “euthanasia” program that mass murdered people with disabilities and its relationship to the Holocaust and to the present day. Kenny is a Marion Weber Healing Arts Fellow.
