Annie Leonard

Annie is a tireless lifelong environmental campaigner, now focused on two interconnected issues: climate and democracy. In 2022, she partnered with Jane Fonda to launch the Jane Fonda Climate PAC, which elects real climate leaders. From 2014-2023, she served as Executive Director of Greenpeace USA. Prior to this role, Annie created The Story of Stuff, a viral 20-minute web film turned book that takes viewers on an eye-opening tour of the often hidden environmental and social costs of our consumer driven culture. At Mesa, Annie worked on a book that celebrates peaceful protest as a democratic tool, a civil right and often the only tool available for those without power. Annie is a Marion Weber Healing Arts Fellow.
