Amena Hajjar

Amena Hajjar, a Bay Area native with a lifelong passion for fostering strong communities, brings a unique blend of creative vision and collaborative spirit to her work. Her background as a trained architectural designer, honed through designing custom homes throughout Northern California instilled in her a deep understanding of spatial planning and the power of thoughtful design to enhance human experience.

This foundation proved invaluable during her transition to the nonprofit sector. As Director of Development and Communications for West Marin Senior Services, Amena ensured access to vital services for older adults in a rural and remote community. Her leadership and communication skills were instrumental in raising awareness of their critical mission. Now, as Director of Community Engagement at Resilient Neighborhoods, she recognizes the profound interconnectedness between environmental sustainability and community well-being.

Amena continues to utilize her design skills through her graphic and communications consulting business, I Design Solutions. This allows her to apply her creative talents to various projects in support to small organizations’ visual identity.
