This Week: Meet Robert Franklin

Robert M. Franklin, PhD, is president-emeritus of Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, and a senior advisor and professor at Emory University. He is the author of four books, including his recently released Moral Leadership: Integrity, Courage, Imagination (2020). He has provided commentaries for National Public Radio’s, All Things Considered, and televised commentary for Atlanta Interfaith Broadcasting.

From Robert:

“Last year was a remarkable year in which we witnessed massive civic and political engagement. As an educator, author and former college president, I felt called to play a more direct role in repairing the moral fabric of our nation by running for Congress to complete the unfinished term of the legendary John Lewis. Mesa Refuge played a critical role in helping to prepare me for what I took to be a civic duty. Although I did not win, I did publish a book on moral leadership, and will always cherish my Mesa Refuge conversations with amazing colleagues and the time to think and write.”
