Dying Well: Katy Butler Returns to Mesa Refuge

September 7, we welcomed an alum and one of our most beloved authors, Katy Butler back to the Mesa Refuge for a reception and reading. As a resident here in 2016, Katy worked on her book, The Art of Dying Well: the Practical Guide to A Good End of Life—which is now out in the world with much notoriety. Katy’s first book, Knocking on Heaven’s Door, was a New York Times bestseller and Notable Book of the Year.  The Art of Dying Well drew record-breaking crowds to her national book tour and was an Amazon bestseller.  An award-winning science journalist and former reporter for the San Francisco Chronicle, she is a past finalist for a National Magazine Award, a resident of Mill Valley, and a former Sausalito houseboat resident.
