May Jeong is a reporter in New York City for Vanity Fair, writing about defense contracting, veteran’s issues, and sex work. She was a foreign correspondent in Kabul, Afghanistan, covering women’s rights, American foreign policy, and civilian casualties. Previously, she lived in Beirut, Lebanon, and Canada. An article she wrote about Carlos Ghosn, a car company CEO who was smuggled out of Japan, was optioned by actor Sam Rockwell and MGM Studios Inc. At Mesa Refuge, she worked on The Life: Sex, Work, and Love in America, a narrative nonfiction book examining the ways in which sex work intersects with the American criminal system.
