Lizzetta LeFalle-Collins is an independent curator and writer living in Sebastopol, CA. Museums and universities such as the Museum of the African Diaspora, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, California African American Museum, University of Canterbury, University of Hawai’i, Hilo, and journals such as Journal of American Studies, Black Renaissance Noire, Nka, and Journal of Contemporary African Art have published her articles. She has participated in writing residencies at the Atlantic Center for the Arts and Centre Cat’Art, International Centre for Research and Creation, Sainte Colombe sur l’Hers.
Recent works include “Tie It Up and Make It Look Pretty,” a poem published in Excavating Honesty: An Anthology of Rage and Hope in America and “African Art and Visual Culture: Beyond Pedestals and Vitrines,” a paper presented to the African Art Docent Council at the de Young Museum in San Francisco.
