Linda Noel is a Kooyunkaui poet from Northern California. She has been published in many anthologies and collections including Spirit of Place, When the Light of the World Was Subdued, Our Songs Came Through, Best Not the Best, and Tending the Fire. Linda is the former Poet Laureate of Ukiah and is known for her rousing and evocative readings. She has presented at various venues and universities across the country including UCLA and Princeton. Linda's work was included in the “Sing Me Your Story, Dance Me Home: Art and Poetry from Native California” exhibit based on The Dirt is Red Here and coordinated by the California Exhibition Resources Alliance.
