Laura Bliss

Laura Bliss is a journalist and writer based in San Francisco. She writes and edits stories about climate, science, cities, and more at Bloomberg Businessweek. She was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Explanatory Reporting as part of the Bloomberg team behind WATER GRAB, a series of stories revealing actors profiting off public water sources globally. Her contribution investigated private equity’s takeover of bottled spring water. She was the host of Bedrock, USA, a podcast about political extremism in local government that was a finalist for a Webby Award. At Mesa, Laura worked on a book about communities around the world that 

have rebuilt in the wake of catastrophic fire, tracing the history of the science of fire — and the mystery of it — and how societies have fought or learned to live with it. You can learn more about Laura here.
