Julia Harte is a reporter for Reuters in New York City. Her long-form reporting on the tension between national security policy and civil rights has appeared in Harper’s Magazine, The Nation, and The Center for Public Integrity. She received her Master’s degree from the Stabile Center for Investigative Journalism at Columbia University and spent three years working as a journalist in Turkey.
