Bhavya Joshi, DrPH, is a research fellow with the Human Rights Center at UC Berkeley. As a Global Public Health Fellow, Bixby Fellow, and a Fellow at the Human Rights Center at UC Berkeley, Bhavya’s research—and the project she worked on at the Mesa Refuge—focuses on understanding the reproductive needs of marginalized populations in low and middle income countries in times of crisis. As a women human rights advocate and educator, Bhavya supports women rights defenders from across the globe to build their capacity to use international human rights mechanisms for advocacy and activism at national, regional, and international levels.
