Claire Peeps

Claire Peeps is an organizational leader, educator, and writer on social change. She has shaped programs in leadership development, community building, and civic problem solving. Claire has been director of the Durfee Foundation, associate director of the LA Festival, publisher of High Performance Magazine, and director of education at The Friends of Photography. She served on the boards of Southern California Grantmakers, Grantmakers in the Arts, Los Angeles County Arts Commission, California Council for the Humanities, and Mike Kelley Foundation for the Arts, and was Senior Fellow of UCLA’s Luskin School.

Her book, Activists Speak Out, was published by St. Martins Press. At Mesa, Claire worked on Whole Lotta Love, a series of short narratives about movement leaders and change makers in Los Angeles, and what they need to advance progressive change throughout their lives and leadership journeys.
