Christopher Shaw retired from teaching creative writing at Middlebury College in 2018. From 2007-2014 he co-directed the Middlebury Fellowships in Environmental Journalism. He is the author of The Power Line, The Crazy Wisdom: A Story of Friendship, and Sacred Monkey River: A Canoe Trip With the Gods. He is a former editor of Adirondack Life Magazine. At the Mesa Refuge Christopher worked on a volume about the Nunavut the new native province carved out of Canada’s former Northwest Territories.
