Nancy Nichols is a writer, editor and broadcaster. She is a former senior editor at The Harvard Business Review and a former reporter for The MacNeil-Lehrer Newshour. She is the author of Lake Effect: Two Sisters and a Town’s Toxic Legacy. Her writing has appeared in Glamour, Ms., The Nation, The Christian Science Monitor, and The New York Times Book Review. While at the Mesa Refuge, Nancy will write a scientific inquiry into the roots of her son’s childhood leukemia, a disease doctors now believe is preventable.
