James K. Boyce

James teaches economics at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he directs the environment program at the Political Economy Research Institute. His most recent book, Economics, the Environment and Our Common Wealth, received a 2013 Choice Outstanding Academic Book award. At the Mesa Refuge, he worked on a book that explores the relationship between humankind and nature through the lens of our interactions with birds.
