Christopher Cook is an award-winning investigative journalist and author of Diet for a Dead Planet: Big Business and the Coming Food Crisis. He has written for the Los Angeles Times, Harper’s, The Atlantic, The Economist, Mother Jones, and The Nation. He was a reporter for The Oakland Tribune and a contributing writer for The Progressive. While at the Mesa Refuge, he will work on an article examining the Trump administration’s rollback of worker protections. Christopher is a Jeannette Pontacq Investigative Journalism Fellow.
