Christian McEwen is a freelance writer, teacher and cultural activist based in Williamsburg, MA. She was educated in Cambridge and received an MA in English from UC Berkeley. Her book, World Enough & Time: On Creativity and Slowing Down is now in its sixth edition. Her most recent collection, Sparks from the Anvil: The Smith College Poetry Interviews, appeared in spring 2015. She is working on a new project entitled On Listening.

In the spring of 2020, Christian’s work about creativity and slowing down is more useful now than ever during pandemic times.
