Anja Claus

Alum 2017

Anja Claus is the editor and curator of the Ideas of Humans and Nature program at the Center for Humans and Nature in Chicago. The central exploration in all her work is grounded in re-imagining our relationship with the other-than-human, by unmasking the mode of thought that upholds our cultural detachment from our natural history, and by helping to create new stories that bridge this perceived gap between humans and the whole community of life. While at the Mesa Refuge, she explored her perspective at the intersections of her own atheist worldview with the framework of an “ethics of place.”
