Wendy Johnson

Wendy Johnson  is a lay ordained dharma teacher in the Zen tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh and the San Francisco Zen Center. She lived and trained at Green Gulch Farm Zen Center from 1975 to 2000. Wendy is a garden mentor to the Edible Schoolyard Project and a founding instructor in the Environmental Landscape program at the Indian Valley Organic Farm and Garden project. She is the author of Gardening at the Dragon’s Gate.

While at the Mesa Refuge, she worked on an article for Tricycle magazine about Point Reyes Station, California’s “alternative Inauguration ceremony” and a book project compiling her Tricycle columns from the past 20 years on writing, gardening and meditation. Wendy was nominated by Green Gulch Zen Center.
