Sadia Hassan

Sadia Hassan is a young Somali American woman from Atlanta, Georgia, by way of Garissa, Kenya. She writes about displacement and belonging, wars and borders, trauma, refugee migration, and healing through ritual. Sadia has a BA in African/African-American Studies from Dartmouth College, where she also studied Creative Writing. While at the Mesa Refuge, she work on an essay that explores the geography of her family’s refugee migration as an emotional and memorial landscape.
