Peggy Orenstein

Peggy is the author of four books including The New York Times best-sellers Girls & Sex: Navigating the Complicated New Landscape, Cinderella Ate My Daughter and Waiting for Daisy. A contributing writer for The New York Times Magazine, Peggy has also written for such publications as The Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Vogue, Elle, More, Mother Jones, Salon, Slate O: The Oprah Magazine, and The New Yorker, and has contributed commentaries to NPR’s “All Things Considered.” In 2012, The Columbia Journalism Review named Peggy one of its “40 women who changed the media business in the past 40 years.” She has been recognized for “Outstanding Coverage of Family Diversity,” by the Council on Contemporary Families and received a Books for a Better Life Award for Waiting for Daisy.
